Helmetta fire chief killed in South Brunswick motorcycle crash

Police say the victim of a deadly crash at the intersection of Georges Road and Summerfield Boulevard in South Brunswick has been identified as a local fire chief.

Police say the victim of a deadly crash at the intersection of Georges Road and Summerfield Boulevard in South Brunswick has been identified as a local fire chief.

According to police, Christopher Acs, 47, of Jamesburg, was riding his motorcycle northbound on Georges Road Monday afternoon when he was struck by a 2019 Honda Odyssey. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Acs was the fire chief of the Helmetta volunteer fire department.
A GoFundMe page is raising money to help his widow, 15-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son.
