Authorities are searching for the individual behind a shooting incident in Coney Island over the weekend.

The incident occurred on Surf Avenue, near West 29th Street, around 3:20 a.m. Sunday.

According to reports, the victim sustained a single gunshot wound to the torso and was promptly transported to a local hospital. Fortunately, he is expected to recover from the injury.

As the investigation unfolds, law enforcement has not made any arrests yet. Police continue their efforts to identify and apprehend the responsible individual.
