A 69-year-old man who was hailed a hero for defending himself against an alleged robber is now being investigated for homicide.
On Sunday, neighbors were stunned to find out a man they described as a kind person was involved in a home invasion.
Just before 10 a.m., police found 48-year-old Rodolpho Roso, of Virginia, at a Crown Heights apartment building with head trauma. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, but didn't survive.
The man who lived there on the first floor is currently hospitalized with minor injuries and is being questioned.
Neighbors say they cannot believe he would be involved in anything like this.
Police say they could not confirm if the two men knew each other or were involved in any illegal activity, but are looking at the crime as a homicide.
