Police: Islip fire displaces 12 people from home
A fire forced 12 people out of their home early Tuesday in Islip, police say.
The incident happened around 1:15 a.m. on Grant Avenue.
Police tell News 12 that all 12 people who were inside were able to get out.
Fire officials believe the flames ignited in the attic and say it was accidental.
No one was hurt.
The Red Cross is helping those who were displaced.
