A Mahopac man is now in jail after being charged on four counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child.

Investigators received information in March about images and videos of child sexual abuse circulating online from a residence in the Town of Carmel. They executed a search warrant at the home in May, ultimately recovering evidence and identifying a suspect.

The suspect was arraigned and released pending a future appearance in the Town of Carmel Justice Court.
