Police: Man arrested for alleged slaying of 60-year-old in Crown Heights
An arrest has been made in connection to the death of a man who was found on a Crown Heights stoop Tuesday, police say.
The NYPD says Antonio Graham, 50, was arrested Friday and is facing several charges, including manslaughter.
As News 12 has previously reported, police received a call around 5 a.m. of an unconscious man in front of 260 Schenectady Avenue. That man was later identified as Gary Smith.
Officers say he was unconscious, unresponsive and had injuries to his face. The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Surveillance video from the area shows two men in an argument. One of those men, who was in a wheelchair, is believed to be the attacker.
Once the fight got violent, Smith is seen stumbling away and sitting down on a stoop.
Investigators have not said what may have started the altercation.
Graham faces charges for manslaughter, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
