Police: Man attempted to rape woman in the Bronx

Police say the individual then assaulted the victim, striking her in the face and stomach before fleeing the location with her iPhone.

Police are searching for a suspect in connection to an attempted rape in The Bronx.
The incident happened Monday, Aug. 9 in the vicinity of East 163 Street and Teller Avenue. 
Police say an unidentified individual approached a 37-year-old female and began a conversation with her. The individual then forced the victim into an apartment building, began to remove her clothes and attempted to rape her. The victim resisted and scratched the individual in his face. 
Police say the individual then assaulted the victim, striking her in the face and stomach before fleeing the location with her iPhone. 
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition. 
The individual is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 5 feet and 8 inches tall with a slim build.
