Police are looking for a man who broke into a synagogue and caused thousands of dollars in damage.

They say the man broke the second floor window of the Goshen Temple on Church Avenue and climbed inside on May 10 around 4 p.m.

He unsuccessfully tried to get into the maintenance room, but he damaged various walls and caused more than $1,000 in damage.

The suspect left empty-handed.
