Police: Man charged in connection to fatal Mount Hope triple shooting

Police say Edison Cruz, 25, shot into a bodega from the sidewalk just before 1 a.m. and hit three people.

Police have arrested a man in connection to the fatal Mount Hope triple shooting that happened Tuesday on East Burnside Avenue.
Police say Edison Cruz, 25, shot into a bodega from the sidewalk just before 1 a.m. and hit three people.
Surveillance video shows the gunman, who police believe is Cruz, pacing outside for several minutes. Then three people walk out of the store as the shooter opens fire. One person runs back inside the store. The gunman follows them inside.
That person, who police say was a 31-year-old man, is now dead. Police found him with gunshot wounds to the torso and head.
Two bystanders were also shot. A 34-year-old man was shot in the arm, and a 34-year-old woman was shot in the torso.
Cruz has been charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon and manslaughter.
