A man was fatally shot Friday evening in Brownsville, police say.

Officers responded to a call of an assault at Osborn Street and Pitkin Avenue when they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the torso.

He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
