A man was fatally shot while
sitting in a car early Sunday in
the Bronx, police say.
Police tell News 12 the incident happened at East 164th Street
at around 2:30 a.m. when the victim was sitting in a friend’s car.
They tell News 12 that an unknown man approached him and shot him in the head.
The man was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals—Lincoln, where he was pronounced
dead.
Police have identified the victim as Anthony Rios.
One witness, Frank Wright, told News 12 he heard two shots go off while
attending a party in Charlton-Thompson Park.
Police tell News 12 it is not clear if the victim was attending the party or what let up to the incident.
They tell News 12 that no arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
