3ds agoA man was fatally struck during a hit-and-run crash in Melrose Saturday, police
say.
Police say the incident happened on 3rd Avenue and East 155th
Street around 4 a.m. when a 65-year-old man was walking across the street.
They say a car slammed into hit, but the driver then fled and sped away.
The man who was hit was taken to New York City Health + Hospitals—Lincoln,
where he was pronounced dead.
The NYPD’s collision investigation squad is searching surveillance video to try
and determine the driver.
Police tell News 12 they don’t have a description of the car or driver.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
