Police: Man in serious condition after early morning East New York shooting

A man is battling for his life after being shot Thursday morning in East New York, according to police.

A man is battling for his life after being shot Thursday morning in East New York, according to police.
Police say they got a 911 call of a man with a gunshot wound around 6 a.m. at the corner of Stanley Avenue and Eldert Lane, across the street from the Pink Houses.
News 12 is told the victim is a 40-year-old man and was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. Investigators say he is in very serious condition.
Police tell News 12 they are still searching for whoever is responsible.
