Police say a man tried to dodge officers by jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge ramp following an alleged robbery Saturday night.
They say they were called to a robbery at a NYCHA complex at 224 York St. just before 10 p.m. When officers arrived, they say the man who was driving a Honda struck a police car before driving over the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan, heading toward the northbound FDR ramp.
Police say the man then turned around and drove against traffic before hitting another police car. They say the man then got out of the car and jumped from the exit ramp of the Brooklyn Bridge to the pavement below.
The man was transported to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
