3ds agoPolice have identified the man suspected of a shooting in Milford.
Eric Stoughton is accused of shooting his stepson Sean Stroomer at their Housatonic Drive home Sunday.
Police say the shooting happened just before 10 a.m.
Stroomer was transported to the hospital for treatment of a single gunshot wound to the back and is expected to be OK.
Police say Stoughton was arrested at the scene without incident.
Police say they believe a verbal altercation escalated significantly, resulting in the shooting.
Police say there is no significant call history to the residence.
Stoughton is being held on $750,000 bond. He is facing several charges including attempted murder.
