Police are searching for a man who tried to steal a woman's phone on the subway.
They say the suspect tried to take the phone on Monday, while riding an uptown 5 train.
Officials report that the suspect waited until the doors opened at the Flatbush/Brooklyn College station stop and stole the phone from the woman's hand.
The woman chased him and managed to catch him on the platform, ripping his bag open. The contents of his bag spilled out onto the floor, revealing her phone.
The suspect then allegedly punched her in the face and ran off.
He is believed to be between 18 and 21 years old, around 5 feet 11 inches tall and 180 pounds.
