Police say a 29-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were shot in Cypress Hills early Sunday morning.

They say a man went up to the victims standing at 520 Williams Ave. just before 4 a.m.

News 12 is told the man opened fire, hitting the woman in the right thigh and the man in the right forearm and hip.

Police say the shooter then ran off.

Shotspotter technology alerted police that a gun had been fired in the area.

The two victims were taken to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where they are in stable condition.
