Police are looking for three men that they say posed as cops and robbed a Brooklyn apartment.
Officials say the incident occurred around 7 p.m. Thursday on Sunnyside Avenue in Highland Park.
An elderly man and a woman told police the men knocked at their front door, claiming to be police officers. Officials said the men were wearing NYPD windbreakers, dark hats and dark glasses. The man said when he opened the door, the suspects pushed their way into the home and handcuffed them.
According to police, the 77-year-old man was beaten over the head and that various items were taken from the apartment. Officials say the robbers left before police arrived.
Police say they are still investigating the incident and have not made any arrests yet.
