Police: MTA worker punched in the face by a teen
An MTA worker was assaulted Friday at the J Street-MetroTech station in Downtown Brooklyn.
A group of teens approached the conductor on a Manhattan-bound F train when one teenage boy allegedly punched the conductor in the face.
The conductor was transported to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital with a bloody nose.
New York City Transit President Andy Byford said in a statement, "Attacks on transit employees are completely reprehensible and we work closely each and every day with police to bring those responsible for these crimes to justice. Our employees work under challenging conditions and we will do everything we can to make sure they are safe while on the job."
