An Oyster Bay man accused of assaulting three police officers Friday is facing multiple charges, according to authorities.

Nassau police say they responded to 128 Berry Hill Rd. after receiving a report of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, they witnessed 27-year-old Evan Patrice starting a small fire in his bedroom.

Authorities say three officers were hospitalized for injuries they sustained while trying to arrest him.

The charges against Patrice include assault, arson, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
