Police: Prospect Heights ride-share driver dies after gunshot wound to the head; suspects wanted

The death is now deemed a homicide after the medical examiner finished the victim's autopsy.

Police have confirmed a ride-share driver is dead after he was shot in Prospect Heights.

Police say the 52-year-old man was sitting in his black Mercedes Benz on Lincoln Place when two people in the back seat of the car shot him in the head before running away from the scene.

The driver died from his wounds on Sunday, authorities say. The death is now deemed a homicide after the medical examiner finished the victim's autopsy.

The suspects are still at large.
