As accused murderer Sharrell Butler prepares for her second court appearance Wednesday, police are questioning another teen who may be her alleged accomplice in two recent murders in the Bronx.
Police are questioning Robert Pastore, 19, as a possible accomplice in the murders. He is also due in court Wednesday for charges unrelated to Butler's. Pastore has previous arrests for rape, sodomy, sexual misconduct, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual abuse. Pastore is being held on $15,000 bail.
Butler is accused of killing Christopher Umpierrie, 24, on Dec. 19, during a home invasion in Throgs Neck. Officials say she also killed and dismembered John Hopkins-Drago, 22, two days later, leaving his body parts stuffed in a garbage bag behind a Pelham Parkway apartment building.
Officials say Butler will be tried as an adult in both crimes. She is being held without bail.
