Police have released new information while they seek the public's help solving a baby homicide case from 1993.
They say a baby girl was found dead outside a Crown Heights apartment building in November of 1993.
The body of the girl was found by the apartment's super. Police say there was a dish towel wrapped around her neck. They believe the baby was thrown from either 346 or 344 Montgomery St. into the courtyard below.
They say the building's super told police he threw out the trash around 8 p.m. on Nov. 7, and that the baby was not there. However, when he came back to collect more trash the next morning on Nov. 8, around 8 a.m. he discovered the little girl inside a trash bag.
Police say she had head injuries consistent with a fall.
Many who now live inside the building are horrified after learning of the new developments in the case, and are hoping that someone will come forward with even more information.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
