Police have released new video showing a group of people accused of stealing a Jesus statue from outside a Williamsburg church.
The statue was returned to the Saint Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church at 71 South 3rd St. last week after a man discovered it in a trash can.
Police say the statue was reported missing on April 30 around 2 a.m. after church officials noticed it was gone and reviewed surveillance video that showed a group of people taking the statue then running away.
Police are hoping someone will identify the suspects in the video.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
