Police are searching for two missing teens from Manorville.
Police say Vincent Abolafia, 15, and his girlfriend, Kaileigh Catalano, 15, were last seen Thursday, Dec. 9, at the Ronkonkoma train station heading to Manhattan.
The two Eastport-South Manor High School students may have been seen together in Times Square.
“It’s destroying us,” says Ann Bonasia, Abolafia’s mother. “It is so heartbreaking, and we just hope they are safe.”
Police say Catalano was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with the words “lil peep,” and black sweatpants.
Abolafia and Catalano left their cell phones behind and don’t have access to credit cards, Abolafia’s Google Chromebook “pinged” in Manhattan near a park in Chinatown. A waitress at Bubba Gump’s in Times Square believes she saw the teens, but that Catalano dyed her hair black.
The families found clues on the teens’ social media accounts that they decided to run away together and have spent days searching for them. They are scared they are alone in the city with little to no money left.
Missing persons reports have been filed with Suffolk County police and the NYPD has responded to tips about possible sightings.
