Police search for man who shoved older man on subway tracks in Bushwick after failed robbery

A 52 year old man was shoved on the train tracks in Bushwick after he refused to give his stuff to a robber.

Police tell News 12 that a 52-year-old man waiting for the L train at the Bushwick Avenue station was approached by a man who demanded everything he had. When he declined to turn over his belongings, the situation became physical and the 52-year-old was shoved onto the subway tracks.
There was no oncoming train, and emergency workers promptly removed the man from the tracks. The victim was brought to the hospital where he was treated for a cut on his head and a broken leg.
Police are looking for the suspect, and were able to get a photo of him. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
