The NYPD is searching for a man who tried to snatch a gold chain from a 77-year-old woman.

According to police, he approached the woman on the A train in Brooklyn. He attempted to snatch her chain but was unsuccessful, only breaking it before running off at the Nostrand Avenue subway stop.

Police say the suspect in question is around 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. No arrests have been made.
