Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the people seen in a brutal beating capture on cellphone video.

Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the people seen in a brutal beating capture on cellphone video.
Police are not saying the video was shot in Brooklyn – at this point they say they don’t know where it's from.

The NYPD is hoping someone will recognize any of the people in the video, including the victim.
Investigators say the video was sent on social media.
The video shows the victim trying to cover his face and head as the others continuously punch and hit him.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
