Police are searching for the person responsible for a dozen church burglaries throughout Brooklyn.
Officials say most of the break-ins occurred in Bay Ridge and the surrounding neighborhoods. They say the burglaries began happening on Oct. 9, with the latest one occurring on Nov. 8.
Police say a Greek Orthodox church on 67th Street and a Presbyterian church on Fourth Avenue are among the 11 churches burglarized in the beginning of October.
They say the suspect was able to steal money and several electronics from some of the churches.
Many residents who live near the churches that were targeted say they are praying that the reoccurring burglaries in their community come to an end.
Police do not yet have a description of the suspect, but they say he did leave his jacket behind at the last break-in at the Zion Lutheran Church on Fourth Avenue.
If you have any information that can help police narrow down their search for the suspect, they ask that you call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
