A police car struck a pedestrian in Gravesend Tuesday night, while on the way to the scene of a robbery.
Authorities say the NYPD car had its lights on as it traveled westbound on 86th Street. That’s when the vehicle struck a 59-year-old man.
The man was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
This incident marked the second time in the last two weeks in which an NYPD vehicle struck a pedestrian in Brooklyn. An NYPD van struck and killed a 53-year-old man on the Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights on April 7.
