Police: Suspect arrested in connection to shooting at Wallkill Chinese restaurant

Police caught up with Hector Luna Thursday night at a hotel just over the state line in Matamoras, Pennsylvania, where authorities say he was hiding out.

Police have arrested the man they say is responsible for a random shooting outside a Wallkill restaurant.
Police caught up with Hector Luna Thursday night at a hotel just over the state line in Matamoras, Pennsylvania, where authorities say he was hiding out. They say he had continued posting on social media about women, drugs and money as if nothing had happened.
The 27-year-old is accused of shooting 48-year-old Charles Miller, of Walden, outside of the You You Chinese restaurant, where he was having dinner Wednesday with his family.
Miller's wife says Luna asked how her husband was doing and then shot him point blank in the stomach before taking off.
Police say Luna opened fire because he mistakenly thought Miller was a police officer.
Miller remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Luna is in a Pennsylvania jail until he can be transferred back to New York and is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
