Police have arrested a teen who they say was involved in a brutal beatdown that was caught on camera in Sheepshead Bay.

Video shows the moment a walk to the bus took an unexpected violent turn for a 12-year-old boy Monday. Police say middle and high school-aged boys beat and robbed the boy.

The victim tells News 12 that moments before the attack, he was just playing with friends and was on his way home. His mother expressed her concerns, saying he could have been killed.

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy and have charged him with gang assault. They say they are still searching for more suspects.
