A 14-year-old was shot and killed this morning in the Fordham section of the Bronx, according to the NYPD.
Police say they received a call at around 1 a.m. about a shooting near the intersection of East 194 Street and Briggs Avenue. When officers arrived, they say they found a teenage boy with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Officers believe that the victim may have been shot inside the lobby of 237 East 194 Street.
Police identified the teen as Jacob Borbin. Police say the home address listed for Jacob is about a 15 minute drive from where he was shot and killed.
It's unclear what lead up to the shooting.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
