An Uber driver suffered injuries following a gunpoint assault and attempted robbery in East New York, police say.
Officials say four armed men approached the Uber driver at 586 Alabama Ave. on April 7. One of the suspects punched the driver in the face multiple times while others demanded his property. There was a physical altercation and a suspect then hit the driver in the head with a scooter.
The group ended up not taking anything but running away.
The victim was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
