Authorities arrested a Valley Stream man accused of shoving his puppy to the ground Saturday.
Detectives say 23-year-old Dayn Rodriques, of Berkley Street, was at home around 4 p.m. when he hurt the family dog he shares with his girlfriend.
Police say Rodriques became enraged with his 8-month-old goldendoodle puppy named Nune.
He is accused of grabbing the dog and intentionally slamming him to the floor, causing a fracture to his hind leg.
It's unclear what condition Nune is in.
Rodriquez will be arraigned Sunday for aggravated cruelty to animals and criminal mischief.
