A West Rocks Middle School teacher in Norwalk was arrested for grabbing and then dragging a student across a classroom, police say.
York Mario, 61, of Orange turned himself in on reckless endangerment and risk of injury charges on June 16.
Police say the incident happened on Oct 29, 2021.
A police investigation alleges that Mario grabbed a student by his shoulder while he was sitting in a chair and pulled him to the ground before dragging the student across the room while the student clung to a desk.
Part of the incident was captured on video by another student.
Mario was released on a $5,000 bond.
