Police say a woman was beaten and robbed on Jan. 14 at a subway station in Brooklyn.

A man hit the young woman in the head multiple times with a sharp object at the Montrose Avenue subway station, according to authorities. The suspect then snatched her purse, which contained $40 cash, a passport, house key and makeup.

The woman was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
