A 74-year-old woman was killed Tuesday afternoon after a building façade collapsed, according to police.
Dale Singer, who was a resident of the 120-year-old, two-story building on 5402 6th Ave., was reportedly injured after part of the building fell on her head.
Police had responded to the scene following reports of falling bricks, and found Singer unconscious and unresponsive.
EMS transported Singer to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition, and she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The New York City Department of Buildings determined Singer was cleaning snow at the front of the building when the collapse occurred.
The DOB issued a violation to the property owner for failure to maintain the building.
