Police: Woman shot in the ankle overnight on Mermaid Avenue
According to the NYPD, a 36-year-old woman was shot in the ankle on Mermaid Avenue near the intersection of West 24th Street.

According to the NYPD, a 36-year-old woman was shot in the ankle on Mermaid Avenue near the intersection of West 24th Street.
She was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
Police say the victim is uncooperative and no suspect information or motive is available at this time.
