A woman was hospitalized after surviving an overnight shooting in the Bronx.

Just after midnight Sunday, police say a 24-year-old woman was grazed in her head by a bullet near East Gun Hill Road and Bronx River Parkway.

The woman was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.

No other information about the shooting was immediately available.

It comes as NYPD stats show shootings are down in the city compared to this time one year ago. This applies in both the numbers of shootings, as well as then number of shooting victims.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
