Police say a 3-year-old child is safe after her father barricaded himself with her inside his Bronx home Wednesday.

They say it happened at 3575 Boston Road. Police say the child was transported to Montefiore Medical Center for evaluation. 

Police say the father is in custody and that charges are pending at this time. 

 This investigation is ongoing, according to police.
