A Rockland County animal shelter is afraid Cookie is on the verge of crumbling.

The longest‑serving resident at Four Legs Good in Pomona has grown depressed and even stopped eating because four years is too long to wait for her "furever home," staff said.

A social media video on Saturday shows Cookie moping around her enclosure.

Cookie is over eight years old, loves people, car rides, kayaking, and snuggling. She knows basic commands and has leash manners.

Her ideal home includes a family with older kids, a fenced‑in backyard for sunbathing and zoomies, and an “only pet” policy so she can be the center of attention.

Anyone ready to end Cookie’s shelter streak is asked to call (877) 856‑2616 or message the shelter.
