Seasons Nursery and Garden Center is a historic nursery in Bed-Stuy. Once you walk down Stuyvesant Avenue, you can't help but notice the greenery taking over the sidewalk. It's growing out of the nursery that was planted in the community 12 years ago.

Seasons Nursery and Garden Center owner Deborah Young says it has become the go-to place for people in the area who are looking to add some greenery to their homes and businesses.

Young said she saw this vision when she planted her first seed inside the lot and watched it blossom.

But after more than a decade, her business could be coming to an end.

She's renting the space from a local Baptist Church, but it is ready to sell. Young says she can’t afford it.

People in the community have been working to help save the place they all love. Young said she's doing everything she can to save not just her business but her home.

"I thought I would be here until I died and then they could chop me up and put me in the compost bin in the back and I'd still be here," said Young.

Seasons Nursery and Garden Center is expected to close by the end of this year.
