Travelers flying through the New York and New Jersey region now have a new tool to help navigate their trips.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has launched a new artificial intelligence feature designed to act as a personal travel assistant across its airports.
The AI tool is available on the newly redesigned websites for JFK, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty and New York Stewart International airports.
Officials say travelers can use the feature to access real-time information, including security and customs wait times, parking availability, airport amenities and other travel updates.
The Port Authority says the websites were overhauled to create a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
Designed by Port Authority staff, each AI assistant includes features tailored to its specific airport.
Officials hope the technology will create a one-stop resource for travelers, eliminating the need to search through multiple web pages to find important information before or during a trip.
The agency says the goal is to make getting through the airport easier and more convenient for passengers.
