Port Chester school officials are taking action following a violent incident over the weekend that injured one student.

As News 12 has reported, a student was assaulted at the end of a Port Chester High School football game against Poughkeepsie.

The district says it is now re-evaluating how both teams leave the field. The say the behavior from the opposing team was unexpected and unacceptable.

Poughkeepsie school officials say they are determined to learn what happened and hold those accountable for inappropriate behaviors.
