A Port Jervis pup is recovering after police say he was struck by a hit-and-run driver
The dog named Rivers ran off from his owners in Orange County when he was spooked by a recent thunderstorm.
While lost, he was struck by a driver who left the scene.
Right now, he's at the Guardian Veterinary Hospital with multiple pelvic fractures and a fractured vertebra.
His owners have set up a GoFundMe page to help to pay for the surgery that is needed to save him.
