A Port Jervis man has been sentenced to up to seven years in prison for a DWI crash that killed his 11-year-old passenger, according to authorities.
Police say 35-year-old Yeraldo Roa admitted to driving while intoxicated and hitting a minivan head-on in 2023.
Prosecutors say Roa was more than twice the legal limit at the time of the crash.
The child, Caylee Jolie Roa, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The relationship between she and Roa remains unclear.
