During
the last primary election, there was a lot of focus on the race for mayor,
borough president and City Council – but there were 10 candidates battling it
out to be the Democratic nominee for city comptroller.

is Brooklyn City Councilmember Brad Lander, who emerged victorious over City
Council Speakers Corey Johnson by just over 35,000 votes.
He also spoke with Daby Carreras, the Republican nominee for comptroller who says he has what it takes to fix the city's finances and bring businesses back.
