After 43 days, Congress voted last week to end the longest ever government shutdown. President Donald Trump signed the funding bill that runs through Jan. 30.
Several Democrats in both the Senate and House crossed party lines to get a deal passed.
It does not include an extension to the health insurance subsidies that were at the center of the shutdown to begin with – but federal workers will be reinstated and paid while SNAP benefits will be funded through Sept. 2026.
