Just weeks before the Iowa Caucus, Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren campaigned in Brooklyn with a new supporter by her side.
The Massachusetts senator was joined at the Kings Theatre by former Housing Secretary Julian Castro. Castro ended his run for president just days ago and quickly announced his support for Warren.
Some supporters waited for hours to see one of the duo's first events together. The event began more solemnly than usual, as she sent well wishes to those stationed at U.S. bases in the Middle East.

An estimate 4,800 were in attendance, some of which stayed after the event to be part of Warren's "selfie line."
Castro and Warren joined forces as the Democratic field slowly gets smaller. Currently, Joe Biden is considered the favorite, followed by Brooklyn native Bernie Sanders, Warren and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigeg.
Warren has campaigned on moving power away from big corporations, creating a wealth tax and Medicare-For-All.
The Iowa Caucus takes place Feb. 3, the first vote on the road to determining the Democratic nominee for president. New York's primary is Apr. 28.
